Proteins in the mitochondria of our cells are sensitive to light. Light interacts with these proteins to produce more adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy currency of our bodies.

Fighting Free Radicals
When cells experience long term exposure to negative external factors such as chemicals in our diet, overexposure to the sun, or bacteria, there is often a production of unstable molecules called Free Radicals.
Oxidative Stress occurs when there are too many Free Radicals in the body, creating an imbalance between the production of Free Radicals and the ability of the body to counteract their harmful effects. It is believed that Oxidative Stress is the underlying component of aging, and a trigger for certain diseases, and conditions. The NovoTHOR uses Photobiomodulation Therapy to combat Oxidative Stress.
